VARSITY TEAM PREPARES FOR NATIONALS!
It’s that time of year again. Excitement grows, practices get harder and preparations heat up as the Varsity dance team gets set for Nationals. It’s hard to believe they are gearing up for the BIG day again, seems like they just got back. Anyone who knows anything about dance teams (especially this one) knows how much time, energy and effort goes into this ONE competition. The UDA National Dance Team Championships (NDTC) are held every year at the Wide World of Sports in Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. This is THE most prestigious and well-known dance team competition in the country and continually draws teams from as far away as California, Alaska and Hawaii. You may have seen this competition on TV as it is televised every year on ESPN and ESPN2.
Seton’s Varsity team has been training since May for this, the biggest day of the year. This year they are planning on competing in two categories, Large Varsity Pom and Large Varsity Hip-Hop. Both divisions are loaded with phenomenal teams and the Varsity team is vying to be one of the best.
The Varsity team still has a few performances coming up (check out the calendar under events) which they plan to use as dress rehearsals. Please come cheer them on and wish them luck for what will hopefully be another successful year.
