VARSITY TEAM PLACES 8TH AT THE NATIONAL DANCE TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR 2007!

Seton High School’s Varsity Dance Team has had another GREAT year, finishing 8th in the Large Varsity Pom Division at the National Dance Team Championships on February 4, 2007 which took place again at Walt Disney World – Orlando, Florida.

The Varsity team took the floor on Saturday morning February 3, and after having to leave the floor and make a second entrance, because of music difficulties gave a very solid performance in the semi-final round. Seton HS was one of 19 teams to make it to the finals round of competition, to be held on Sunday evening. The team was thrilled to be part of this group of INCREDIBLY talented teams, that get incrementally better year after year, from all over the country.

The team also gave a BEAUTIFUL performance of their jazz routine, however, it was not enough to break into the finals for a second category.

Sunday evening, February 4th, at approximately 10:00pm, Seton High School took the performance floor again and gave a PHENOMENAL performance of their Pom routine that made coaches & parents alike very proud. Something about that floor and the lights at Nationals brings out the VERY BEST in Seton’s dance teams. It was an exciting performance to top off a wonderful 2006-07 dance season.

Because the team finished 8th, they may not be a part of the ESPN 2 program scheduled to air on April 29, at 3:00pm. However, you never know, they may be seen backstage or in the crowd.
