THE VARSITY DANCE TEAMS PREPARES FOR NATIONALS, 2007!

The Varsity Dance Team is preparing to defend their 2006 5th place finish in the Large Varsity Pom division at this year’s Universal Dance Association National Dance Team Championships in Walt Disney World on February 3-4, 2007. Practices have been going extremely well and all involved are very excited. Freshman Emma D. is preparing for her first ever Nationals trip and says, “I just can’t wait for the whole experience! Being at Nationals, spending time with my team and of course performing on that floor. All my teammates tell me how awesome that feeling is. I can’t wait to experience it for myself and go for that National Champs Jacket. I know we could get that!” While hopes are high for their Pom routine the team is also hoping to advance to finals with their Jazz routine. This would be a first for Seton having competed and placing in 2 categories last year but switching from Hip-Hop to Jazz this year. Junior Paige K. states, “All of the practices will build up to what we know will be a huge success. We will be in Disney World and we all know your dreams can come true there. That is what we are working towards.”

The Varsity team will be performing their Pom & Jazz routines several times over the next few weeks leading up to Nationals.
