VARSITY TEAM PLACES 5TH AT NATIONALS!
For the first time ever, Seton High School’s Varsity Dance Team made the finals at the National Dance Team Championships in Orlando, Florida placing 5th and appearing on ESPN, April 23rd.
The Varsity team was one of the first teams to compete in the preliminary round of the Large Varsity Pom division early on Saturday morning February 4. They nervously waited while teams from around the country took the stage after them. About 10:45 am, the finalists were announced. Seton was ecstatic to hear their name called as a finalist and to know that they would be performing again as part of the ESPN production on Sunday evening.
Sunday evening, February 5th, 9:25 pm. Seton High School took the stage again. They gave an electric performance in front of a standing room only crowd. The awards ceremony was a roller coaster ride as the team waited to hear their name. Their excitement grew as they realized they were among the top ten teams in the country, then the top 8, then the top 6. When Seton’s name was called as fifth place in the nation, you would have thought they had won. It was such an exciting experience.

The Junior High team did extremely well too. They gave a solid performance with their pom routine to make it into the finals then turned up the power to finish 3rd. Great job, ladies!
