VARSITY TEAM PLACES 8TH & 12TH PLACE AT THE NATIONAL DANCE TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR 2009!

Seton High School's Varsity Dance Team has had another GREAT year, finishing 8th in the Large Varsity Pom Division AND 12th in the Large Varsity Jazz Division at the National Dance Team Championships on February 1, 2009 which took place at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

The Varsity team performed both routines in their respective semi-final rounds on Saturday, January 31, at Disney's Hollywood Studios. The team looked AWESOME in both routines, very clean, synchronized and determined. Seton HS was one of 17 teams to make it to the finals round of competition for pom and one of 15 teams in the jazz category. The team was thrilled to be part of this group of fantastic teams from all over the country.

Sunday afternoon and evening was incredibly exciting... it was awesome to be performing in finals again, on that finals floor, at the Wide World of Sports venue on February 1st. The Highlighters gave two PHENOMENAL performances (one of each of their pom routine and jazz routine) that made coaches & parents alike very proud. Something about Nationals...it always is so ELECTRIC and brings out the best in the girls. It was two exciting performances to round out a fantastic 2008-09 dance season.
